An evaluation is a comprehensive process that assesses your child’s behavioral needs, strengths, and areas for growth. It includes gathering background information, conducting a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) to identify the purpose of challenging behaviors, and evaluating skills such as communication, social, and adaptive abilities using standardized tools. Preference assessments are conducted to determine effective reinforcers, and data analysis is used to identify patterns and environmental influences on behavior. Based on these findings, individualized goals are established in collaboration with the individual and their support team, focusing on socially significant outcomes. The evaluation concludes with a detailed report outlining recommendations and a roadmap for therapy, ensuring interventions are personalized and impactful.

Benefits:

  • Provides a clear understanding of your child’s strengths and needs for personalized interventions.

  • Identifies behavior functions to create effective strategies for behavior change.

  • Pinpoints skill deficits to guide skill-building efforts in key areas.

  • Determines motivators to enhance positive behavior outcomes.

  • Ensures interventions are evidence-based, measurable, and effective.

  • Improves quality of life by fostering skills, reducing challenges, and increasing independence.

  • Establishes baseline data for tracking progress and refining strategies.
